The 9 mm Beretta Nano semi-automatic lives up to its name: it’s small! Very small. But that’s why people want it. It’s a stylish striker-fired bundled in a 4.17” height by 5.63” length by .9” width. The gun’s snag-free thinness is largely due to its lack of thumb safeties. Capacity with the flush magazine is 6+1 or 8+1 with the black extended magazine.

Efficiently packaged within those three dimensions is a 3.0” barrel. Thanks largely to its polymer frame, Nano is light too, coming in at just 19.8 ounces. That’s a little over a pound. This even includes low profile 3-dot sights, nice texturing on the front and back of the grip, a beautifully executed curved bevel that makes a graceful arch for the frame above the trigger and grip serrations at the back of the slide.

While one might expect such a small pistol to be loaded up with curves, it does fine with mild chamfers, bevels and straight lines. The result is a nicely cohesive design without screaming for attention. Well, okay, maybe the wonderful color selection is eye-candy. The Nano is available in matte black, FDE, RE Blue, Rosa and Sniper Gray. The black gun’s standard magazine is a 6-round mag while the others come standard with 8-round mags.
